Gabrielle Alicea a.k.a “Gabby” was born in Manhattan NY, February 16th 1991, owning a retail business is a dream she’s always had. As a child Gabby would arrange her room like a store, set up prices on her toys and make her brothers and cousins act as customers shopping. In middle school Gabby would sell candy and drawings to her classmates. Gabby has always been artistic and creative, as a teen she spent a lot of time writing poetry, playing the piano and drawing. After High-school, Gabby went on to Get her A.A at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida majoring in Studio Fine Arts. Gabrielle has painted murals throughout Apopka, Florida, has had artwork displayed in Orlando City Arts Factory and won awards in local Orlando, Florida art contests. Originally Gabby and her best friend needed money for their first apartment together which was why they first decided to sell clothes online. AcidCupcakes started on Facebook but as the business began to develop Gabrielle and Simone quickly realized it would take more the just items on a Facebook page for them to reach their goal. Acidcupcakes re-sparked Gabby’s childhood business woman aspirations. For the business Gabrielle taught herself how to use Photoshop and basic website coding. Helping bring the AcidCupcakes vision to life inspired Gabby to continue her education at Full Sail University in Digital Arts. Today Gabrielle Alicea is a freelance graphic designer in Orlando, FL and has created graphic and motion art for dozens of start up companies. Gabrielle will go on to graduate with her B.S in digital Arts in September of 2019 and plans to continue to use her talents to inspire others and build the business she’s always dreamed of.
